    According to the General Staffof Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Russian forces chaotically mine the Ukrainianterritory and deliberately destroy agricultural machinery. This threatens thebeginning of the sowing campaign in some Ukrainian regions.

    Bloomberg: Russia’s CentralBank governor tried to resign over war in Ukraine, Putin rejected.

    Elvira Nabiullina, who has ledRussia’s Central Bank for nearly nine years, tried to quit when RussianPresident Vladimir Putin ordered a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Bloombergreported, citing unnamed sources. Putin did not accept her resignation.

    The Wall Street Journal wrotethat between 7,000 and 15,000 Russian soldiers have been killed since Feb.24.The news outlet quoted a senior NATO official.

    French Crédit Agricole, BNPParibas leave Russia.

    France’s two largest banks bytotal assets – Crédit Agricole and BNP Paribas – are pulling out of Russia amidthe country’s invasion of Ukraine. Crédit Agricole added that its priority wasto support its 2,400 employees in Ukraine, who were helping ensure essentialbanking activities continued despite being “struck at full force by the war.”
