The obvious solution, for the " unfriendly countries" affected, is that foreign nations wishing to buy Russian gas will have to send Gold to Moscow, where they will be credited with rubles in a Russian account in exchange, or bills of exchange in Rubles.
They will have to preposition the gold, or the taps will be turned off.
