@kingpins; you forgot to list the risks that would include:
. Money laundering via the banks
. Bank fees
. Executive remuneration & bonuses for ripping off customers
. Bank outages / failures
. Scams and theft from bank accounts
. Excessive profiteering by banks' opaque owners
The assumption that business would be wonderful is at odds with the extent to which they're propped up by government - some rely heavily on government doing things such as changing land use zones and 'cutting red tape' to permit Old King Coalmines.
