pp,
Buffett has big investments in Conoco Philips and Posco (which holds 10% of MCC - one of my favourites). His recent investment in Burlington (his biggest ever by far) is basically a gigantic investment in coal and other commodities, as the majority of Burlington's business is transporting commodities especially coal to the ports for export.
I agree that the markets will have sharp corrections but I'm more of an investor type rather than a trader (been learning a lot this year hopefully). However investments like my positions in BHP I intend to hold long term unless the funamentals change.
