It's probably a bit higher actually. There's been 1,833 new store entries created between 01 January 2022 and 18 March 2022. At this rate I'd say it'll end up looking like 2k by the end of March (1st quarter 2022).
Prior to this latest update, there was another website update in early Feb which showed about 600 new stores added in January. Hope that makes sense.
