That's why I said "eventually". I don't doubt the ability of the human race to develop a non met-coal steel making process for virgin steel, The race is on to make a scalable process using hydrogen. To think that met coal will be used forever is to doubt the ability of us as a race to innovate. Changes in metal making processes have been slow because there hasn't been a lot of incentive to change from what works, but now there is.
