I check windy.com every day. Qld is a wash for wind, the prevailing wind is parallel to the coast and you can't go off shore because that is the GBR marine park. Inland is a wind desert as is the whole of the northern half of the continent.
The only half way reliable wind is out of the Great Southern Ocean, the Roaring Forties. We have already hit the point of diminished returns for wind.
