Hi batman , I think think you find this company has a very high silicon content , there are plenty of battery companies, they claim 30 to 70% increase in energy density but have a big problem after 100 cycles including the one below , more recent clams are 50% extra energy retention ? why the drop and only 50% improvement in energy retention ? different tech get different results .

You will get a shock if you do the real calculations with the Anteotech 70% silicon composite anode , 290 cycles pased 4 weeks ago holding over 1000 mAh/g , start up capacity seems much lower for the company below shown in WH/L , the Ateotech powered electric car will show 5 to 7 times more energy and travel 5 to 7 times the distance in the same size battery giving the average electric car at least 1000 k range on a single charge , its a fact Silicon retains 10 times more energy and is 9 times cheaper , watch this space now the 3 patents have been lodged , all in my opinion of course.

LeydenJar has replaced the graphite anode with a 100% silicon anode. This has a capacity 10 times greater than a graphite anode. The result is a battery with a 50% improved capacity for energy storage. For a long time, the industry had looked to silicon as a replacement for graphite.

LeydenJar Technologies, a Dutch spin-out of TNO, the Netherlands Organisation for applied scientific research, has developed a new anode which it believes will “drastically change the battery industry,” allowing lithium-ion batteries to be made from 100% silicon, boosting energy density by 70%

The company tested their new anodes on pouch cells using commercially available battery materials, such as NMC 622 cathodes, and LeydenJar’s silicon anodes. The results showed an energy density of 1350Wh/L at start of battery life and demonstrated a cycle life of more than 100 cycles at a C/2 rate – results which have been independently verified by Norwegian energy registrar and consultancy DNV GL.
Further, LeydenJar’s CTO, Yiseop Ahn, believes that they will be able to “significantly improve” the cycle life performance of their silicon anodes.
