MEL has 1.5 tcf of 3P reserves - probably a lot more in resources since only 5% of their acreage has had exploratory wells drilled, and the 3P figure does not even take into account the recent KF find. Also, most of the XTO reserves are in shale gas, which is usually more expensive to produce than coal seam gas or conventional gas. Anyway, at $US688 million/tcf that's about $1.1AUD billion for MEL's 1.5 tcf, which equates to around $AUD4.40 per share.
