The FR is reporting the FACTS of the trillion dollar bond market which cannot be manipulated.
The bond market is telling you interest rate increases are going to be coming hard and fast resulting in a worldwide housing market crash and a complete devastation of non discretionary spending on which BNPL relies.
Of course the numpties at Zip are offering gift cards and fuel and groceries on BNPL for a minimal clip on interchange fees and bad debts will go through the roof.
Shall I buy crap I don't need, feed my family, pay my ever increasing mortgage, put fuel in the car or pay Zip who don't report to credit agencies.
Hmmm Let me think about that for a minute.
