I can certainly see how CRM standards may not perform exactly as expected if they are made up of "refractory gold" or "gold occluded in silicates".
I would expect all blanks to return a zero, or close to zero, result, so I can see that would be a problem if they didn't.
What sort of variances are acceptable for a JORC compliant assay method? Is this written in stone anywhere, or is this up to the Competent Person?
