Gordon Gekko from the movie “Wall Street” made comments related to his brand of success along the lines “give me someone who focuses day in and day out-with no feelings“ etc etc and ”if you need a friend get a dog”
Contempt for the exploitable was the theme.
He ended up in jail as I recall but was back at it on release.
Best not put your life savings into this brand of Gekko either, I reckon.
