German Earth heat gives a drilling order to Huisman Geo and Ed. Züblin AG
The working community of the two specialists for deep drilling and geothermal, receives the surcharge for a total package of up to eight geothermal holes on the middle upper Rhine. The drilling work for the first project in Graben-Neudorf is due to begin in May 2022.
Karlsruhe, March 28, 2022. The German Earth Heat, Germany's largest private developer of Earth's heating plants, has awarded the order for the drilling it planned at the Upper Rhine to two of the leading general entrepreneurs in the field of geothermal. The two specialists for deep drilling and geothermal projects Huisman Geo and Ed. Züblin AG will take over all drilling and drilling development work together as a general contractor. The framework contract concluded with the companies includes the drilling for the planned earth-heating management in Graben-Neudorf and those for three more development projects. It has a four-year term, including an extension option. The volume of order contains all the services and material supplies necessary for the execution of the drills, their complete and subsequent functional tests, such as the pipes and drilling pots.
We are very proud that we have been able to win two of the most experienced general contractors in the Geothermal industry for our bores. They have convinced us with their skills in a competitive tender procedure with several participants from the sector. The cooperation underpins our right to develop Earth heat projects on the latest and with the greatest possible know-how and implement them safely and reliably $20220;, Dr. Herbert Pohl, founder and managing director of the German Earth Wärme, is pleased with the conclusion of the contract, and the imminent start of drilling work at our project in Graben-Neudorf is an important milestone for German Earth heat.
We are pleased to work on one of the largest geothermal drilling campaigns in the German geothermal sector. Through our technical competence and our long-standing experience in the development of highly complex projects in special depth construction, we will make a significant contribution to project success, says Martin Geissler, project deep drilling and geothermal at ZÜBLIN special depth.
We thank the German Earth heat for their trust in Huisman Geo to help them secure and efficient implementation of their geothermal drilling projects. This is another step towards our goal to reduce the investment and operating costs of such projects. These are key factors to allow large geothermal projects such as this necessary to achieve the ambitious energy turnaround “, says Peter de Vin, Director of Huisman Geo.
