this, I very much respect and I feel for the likes of you, your son and the many others who have lost money in zip or any other stocks for that matter.

positivity is good, but without understanding the full mechanics of how markets work, or the fundamentals of a stock (from an analysis basis), then sometimes it can be very dangerous for newer investors to listen to unfounded posts and misinformed opinions, as this potentially creates more buying into nothing more than hype. This is where the sharks win. Your post wasn’t misinformed, but many others are.

many zip investors (myself included), bought or continued to buy at the highs, mainly off the back of hype, fomo, rumours, media and speculation.

Many people are still nursing hangovers from what was a party of the ages. The stark reality is that there are many others who never made it home from the party, but are instead, locked up, waiting for their hearing date, wondering when their going to get bailed out, and whether they will ever get to party again.

As an investor, I’ve learned to stick to hard cold facts through my own (unbiased) research, as the more research you can do without any confirmation bias or emotional bias, the better your chances are surviving the markets and making some money along the way.
