Biden move to release reserve is all talk and does not solve the problem there is a structural deficit with Russian supply diminishing
you can draw down your reserve but you also need to refill it
unless the forward curve supply will exceed demand in the short term (we talking months), then US will be even more desperate once those reserve run down
private sector are also less incentivise to increase supply should prices go down.
such a short sighted idea
