Ya sure no problem, happy to provide my opinion if you wish. Are you currently commenting on that stock ? I see you give ROG as one of your examples , but just like JPR ( who did a run on more than just one occasion ) , and others in that space , many many investors got ' Pumped ' and ' Burnt ' on those plays. So you have to be selective ....and most importantly ' Timely ' with your entries and exits .
But there is no question that we are in a ' Super Cycle ' on EV and other metals and minerals. So much like the Gold and Silver ( and PMG ) plays of COVID 2020 , you need to recognise the power of ' Rotation ' within those cycles - ie when to do it and when not to do it , and / or when to just sit pat and wait for the rotation to come to you. I look for the CR cycle backdrop as well which sits within the overall bullish exploration and evaluation reporting cycles and planned POW's.
And this is NOT advice nor is it rocket science .... but rather just common sense that you need to research who is doing what and where and with how much Capital are they doing it , and how advanced the projects are.
Some commodities and minerals will of course outperform others , so you have to weigh up the individual risk reward return on your capital position you wish to put it up on. Do you split it across TWO similar plays , or does the news flow and other POW's dictate that you plan your rotation differently with the introduction of a THIRD or FOURTH stock pick if you get your return off PLAY 1......and so on and so forth.
in saying that , I look for ' like for like ' leverage ' plays in amongst those individual ' Cylces ' . Like for instance going for a stock in a commodity I like with obviously a low market Cap and lower SP .....leveraging up the play so that when and if it proves out , you can then rotate the same volume straight into a larger cap larger SP play with perhaps less news flow risk and larger upside exposure on your same relative sized parcel after you've 'cycled ' everything you can out of the previous play.
Or you come back to something you still like which has more or less remained ' unchanged ' in it value and share price .....or only slightly higher from when you left.
This is risky though in a Market when ' Everything ' in the sector is seemingly moving North. And that's why you have to have your ' relative value ' comparison's locked in - Because you can't be afraid to buy something just because it's gone up 10 or 15% since you last looked or played it if the ' Valuation ' still stacks up. And this is really where you need to know what you are doing.
In any case , with this sort of assessment process , you should be slowly ' ratcheting ' up your net wealth position.
I've actually 18 bagged across my entire portfolio holdings and resulting Net Wealth in the last 12 - 18 months. But I don't go chasing volume or ' next big thing ' plays just for the sake of it like some on here do. And those same posters usually come on here telling everyone what they should already know about the ' Daily Top Movers ' on the ASX.
And so you won't generally see me commenting on any of those holdings or plays because I normally don't want anyone to know what I am doing. I made the mistake of getting involved in a couple of other forums over the course of my HC experience and it just got messy when people start pointing fingers and blaming you for their own ' inaction ' . So the effort is not worth the ' hate mail ' that it can attract really.
Sayona is different though , because now you can ALL see how this little $25 million dollar company became this $1.7 billion behemoth.....where we've basically not even really started the process....... So this Company is now in the the ASX S&P 300 and ALL Ord's and effectively my job if you will with posting analysis is pretty much DONE here really. ie There is nothing more i really need to do with this investment.
In another way of describing Sayona is that in many ways , it's time to just sit back and watch Sayona build your individual portfolio holding balance into something substantially more , and which commensurates with a stock selection that a Company of this callibre is known to be able to deliver. And I remember stating to someone back at the time of the Moblan acquisition that whether it is 6 days , 6 weeks , or indeed 6 months , Sayona will have a Market Cap more than Piedmont. Well ......its now 6 months pretty much exactly - and where are we valued.....more ....or less than Piedmont ....
So this is just pure participation in the entertainment value for me personally now .... and which I can enjoy with some of the Shareholders who have personally shared this journey with me. It's been an absolute pleasure to be able to help others learn the ropes of the Market along the way , and who know's ....if I feel like it , I might do it again with all of you on another ' Pet Project ' at some stage in the future.
