What a load of rubbish this article is. Owning an EV is far less cost than an ICE vehicle I have ever owned. Paid mainstream manufacturers BS and I worked for two of the biggest so I know how it works.
#Purchase price with gov rebates now on par with similar spec ICE vehicle
# Very little servicing costs on EV saving in some cases more than $1000 per year
# Even at 0.55c KW supercharging rates = cost per 1oo kms of $8.25 equivalent to less than 4 litres of petrol at current price. Typical Corolla is 8.5l per 100 =$18
Charge with solar or at public NRMA or destination chargers and its free
# Little depreciation ATM due to demand and supply, in fact I was offered $9k more for my Tesla a couple of weeks after taking delivery
# A beautiful driving experience that puts a smile on your face everytime...free
