Clearly you don't understand gambling businesses. Sports betting is largely winner takes all market (have a look at Sportsbet). TAB has already lost that race and overseas markets are mature (UK/Europe) and you only need to see what is happening in the US. In the US it'll be Fanduel/Draftkings and that's about it. So international expansion or inorganic growth is a horrible idea.
The lottery business is one of the best businesses on the ASX and is currently not being properly valued due to the average wagering business. The demerger is the best decision the board has made in a very very very long time.
