Looking back now the GFC was painful but the lessons I learnt was invaluable... Buy and hold quality companies.

We are in a world of hurt if the US and World wide inflation is not curved. Australia looks to be the cleanest shirt in the dirty basket right now with inflation nowhere near the numbers in the US, Germany etc... So I'm quite confident we won't get the brunt of it but that can turn real quick. That is the nature of inflation. It is like a tomato sauce bottle you shake it and nothing comes out, you shake it again and still nothing. You shake it again then suddenly splat! There is a mess on your plate. CB's have been shaking that bottle from all that money printing over the years and no inflation has come out of the bottle...until now. They have a mess on their plate and it is still pouring out.

Keep some powder dry and have your quality shopping list ready. A misstep from CBs here is going to be a fun experience.
