the battery bubble you mention is purely E.V but another revolution is happening which is power generation and storage or also known as stationary storage.
While Li is great for cars because of its power density and weight it has other issues including limited lifespan (charge/discharge cycle) and potentially unstable (especially if a cell is damaged or abused) and easily damaged.
Vanadium batteries on the other hand are not prone to combustion have a long lifespan and can be abused (discharged fully) amongst other benefits but they are heavy which is why they're great for stationary use. Someone in this forum mentioned they could also be used in ships/aircraft etc but I'm not sold on that yet, maybe one day.
Long term we're trying to solve the carbon issue and electricity generation and storage is a huge part of that.
