AMP have achieved a pretty much unique trifecta - the reason I believe they may as well be broken up. They have have pissed off all 3 of their clients.
1. The institutions who invest large sums/mandates.
2. Their own retail clients be they through corp super, direct or through advisers.
3. Financial advisers who were clients of their licensee business, their platforms, their investment products on behalf of their clients and their bank both directly and on behalf of their clients.
This is why AMP is slowly dying as a business. To realise more value it needs to be sold off. This means settling class actions or ending up asa cash bid against class actions after all businesses are sold.
