I've short sold this one - so I have a position. Ouch - just hit 47.33 - excuse me while I short some more . . .
. . . oh - missed out on more short WPLs for now ! ! ! My last lot at 47.15!
. . . I'm back . . .
I think WPL is about to suffer smackdown. There are a whole pile of new shares about to be issued, and this one has had a bit of fun allowing index funds to get themselves straightened out.
Yesterday at lunchtime there were buy/sell 413,864/131,607 (#buy 3.15 times sell) on the ASX. Just now there was 303,858/188,455 (b 1.6 times s). Monday will show more sellers and less buyers IMO.
The trend is moving towards smackdown time, and until then I will do some wpl bashing every time it sticks its head up.
Oil price and AUD do not matter . . . it is purely excess stock about to be unleashed.
DYOR, but maybe think twice if you want to buy as a long term hold, or even a long quick trade. You may be right about many things buy not the level of short term stock availability IMHO. Have a look at the last few capital raisings and their results for the SP. GNC, PRG, SIV, CSR etc.
