re: osh v's hig (png sovereign risk)
re: IF oil keeps rising to say 60 this could rise to 2
jermaynew,
osh cld still get to $2 even without a us$60 barrell of oil. earnings will be soaring this year and the potential of the gas project is massive. for instance, mosaic and osh discovered the kimu gasfield in png about 6-7 years ago. that discovery alone was enough to service the city of brisbane for about a 50 year period. and that gas discovery is only the tip of the iceberg for osh.
while we're discussing osh, here's a few thoughts on hig (highlands). with the pipeline getting the greenlight through the feed project png has increased it's credibility to do business. in a sense one big announcement has reduced some of the sovereign risk of png. now look for a rerating for hig. 'cos while osh has some tremendous assets, hig is a potential titanic compared to osh.
