When it comes to the sophisticated investors and financiers ensuring there are long term off take commitments to generate revenue is one of the key de-risking elements. It ensures that, assuming the processes and technical capability of the project are fulfilled, sufficient revenue on a consistent and long terms basis so that the commercial economics are met, financing can be repaid and investors are rewarded.
No use having a project and trying to sell spot.
