What date did the shares go Ex rights It was the 4th and the rights started trading and the shares were EX THE RIGHTS
If it was Ex on the 4th you had to buy them the BUSINESS day before . and your ownership is not recorded till the 5th with the registry, its called T plus 2 when all documents are matching , the broker and the registry
Yes broker sends you a CONTRACT NOTE ON THE 4TH but they are sold on the 4th the EX DATE
End result you had to buy Friday to own the rights . Monday is NO day for the rights so you blew it
