Klarna are profitable in Sweden. Setting up in USA is obviously a high-cost venture, so losses in the early stages are to be expected.
USA is larger than Sweden so losses in the new market of USA will be larger than profits in the mature market of Sweden.no. Operators who can't manage bad debts (SZL, LBY) will go bust. Operators who will never scale (SPT, OPY) will go bust.
Operators who can manage bad debts and operate at scale will be profitable.
