A specialist website suggests that 33000 tonnes of Victorian canola (railed from western Victoria to Portland, Vic) recently left on a bulk ship for Stockton, California USA.
This is believed to be the first time such a quantity of canola has been imported from Oz by anyone in the USA, and is because the Canadian crop suffered from drought. Any further imports are unknown but should they occur will likely cease by October 2022.
