"Solar to charge your E car is a must ."
That's an interesting concept. I recently read an article on exactly that. It appears it's not as simple as it seems.
Most people use their cars during the day and so are unable to use their household solar to charge their EV's.
The solution might be to buy a home battery and charge your EV from the battery at night. A home battery can cost about $15,000.00 but even then it can only partially charge your EV. Meaning much less than half. The issue is further complicated when the home has more than one vehicle which is the norm in Australia.
This also means that the power you saved to your battery is not available to power your home at night.
The solution? Cheaper batteries with greater energy density.
