I'm completely uninformed and no medical professional and tried to figure out dosing conversion from animal to human subjects. I found a paper a while ago that suggested formulas for a mg/kg animal dose coverted to mg human dose. All dependent on size of animal, type of animal, etc. We don't know the size of rats or dogs used in RCE's test, etc.
So this is probably not the correct answer and at best a guess:
Conversion formula for rat to human suggested a conversion ratio of about 8-10 for 60kg human Meaning 50mg/kg rat dose is equivalent to 500mg TOTAL dose for 60kg human. I'm happy for someone to point out that my reasoning is completely wrong.
If the conversion is 10, then RCE already has an effective product if human results are similar to animal results against infection. Please note this is only my uninformed guess.
