According to my knowledge (this will be my third demerger) the demerger process will be as follows (dates are fictional):
April 2022: Demerger information (booklet) will be issued
May 2022: General Meeting to consider approving capital reduction and demerger
June 2022: If shareholders approve the demerger and capital reduction: record date
Juli 2022: distribution of new shares
Entitled LPI shareholder who hold LPI on the record date will get shares of the Demerger Co. In other words: you do not have to hold LPI right now in order to get the shares (according to my knowledge; DYOR).
