Slight improvement in price yesterday.
Carbon credits of some form will come in and in this case gas prices will increase. Whether or not this company finds any commercial plays is another question.
This is taken form the ETE thread posted by Dorimus:
"Something to consider. Exxon/Mobil, the worlds biggest oil company is selling all there sevice stations in Australia and the United States. They are rationalising all downstream interests with a view to divesting. WHY? Heres a possible answer.Exxon today announced there are making a takeover bid for XTO, the largest gas producer in the US. Cost, $31US Bn plus $US10 Bn in debt. They state this is a responce to the likely importance of natural gas in climate change in a switch away from coal. Exxon is a big player in Qatari gas with 3 or 4 trains recently coming on line.Big changes are coming.I expect gas futures to go through $6US in the next 3 months and lay back slightly."
As I said this maybe important if this company finds gas???
