Unfortunately many of these climate activists are young kids or uni students that can’t handle it when the debate gets real. Oil is still needed and it’s going to take atleast 20 years for most cars driving today to be replaced by an EV. The problem with EV’s is still the infrastructure.
I’m not against climate change, we just need to be pragmatic and realise oil won’t disappear overnight. Also remember that plastics, bitumen and lubes are mostly oil derived products. So there will be demand regardless for new oil production.
