you do realise why the world has gone into a flap about russia's oil supply now being off limits? Because it is needed.

It's great to be virtuous (its a very easy path to take and feel all proud of yourself and what you stand for) but it dosn't change the fact the world doesnt operate through virtue.
So if it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy to be cruising through threads spouting your "i care about the planet" speak - cool. But don't confuse that with having an actual viable solution you are pushing. If all the o&g companies suddenly did what you wanted... the world would descend into utter chaos and probably end. Until the world develops alternatives that are viable and ready... it needs fossil fuels or else it wont work.
