well, the problem is that we don't know - the government makes it very difficult to tell what a reasonable person would call unemployed or underemployed

if a person is receiving unemployment benefits - yet gets say one hour a morning work for 3 days a week - they are not considered as unemployed

but, the reality on the ground is that - they don't have enough money to live a normal life on, they can't get accommodation that anyone would consider reasonable, they can't afford to run or repair a motor vehicle and they sure as hell can't afford to have a mortgage or buy a home

what percentage are we talking about --- of the nation?? -------- I don't know - what I do know is that 1/3 of the nation are renters, homelessness is growing rapidly, the wealth divide is becoming obnoxious and atrocious

people on tiny incomes are chased to pay income tax, whilst major corporations with revenues in billions - pay nothing

we have had major articles in the last week telling us of crisis in housing affordability, crisis in personal debt spirals - people using debt to live day to day -

that's warning signs of total disaster approaching ----------- soon - that's telling us that soon - but, particularly when interest payments rise - that the bankruptcy numbers are going to go through the roof

we have canaries in the cages falling off the perches at alarming rates - as usual - when the Liberals are about to exit government -

thrown out on their date because they have totally hashed the job - and, AGAIN - will leave Labor with the mess

which - in a years time - the Liberals will be saying - 'see what a mess they've made'

and, as usual - the moving liquid crap river is coming downhill as we speak - unstoppable - set in train by the Liberal Party of Australia
