    good points taken...
    however, I am not interested in tax deductions for hobby farms....there is a cost to save out planet, and I am looking at ideas, that reduce the costs, compared to paying our govt huge taxes.....for nothing in return

    Buffett, good points on the larger scale.....most of central Australia was a huge oasis, at an early stage...
    these people see no reason it could not be returned to that state...

    my small scale idea, is on the basis, that more people could afford to become involved, a grass roots movement..
    not many of us have half a million dollars available

    the same people may be more inclined to spend say $1000 pa, or give their time in lieu, for labour, on a sustainable project , that will eventually reduce their water and energy bills....
