    Inaflap,

I'd respectfully suggest that the intention of that section of the company's strategy is nowhere near what just happened.

That strategy is clearly about becoming a partner in reserve-based, income producing assets - potentially buying a part of a producing field or entering a JV in producing or about to produce fields with proven reserves. Being a JV partner in an income producing asset entitles you to a share of the income proportional to your ownership. On the other hand, being a shareholder in a company that owns an income producing asset sees you at the mercy of the company as to when or if you might receive any of that income.

Buying shares in a micro-cap oil explorer with no proven reserves, about 400 gazillion shares on issue and far less cash than us is not what is contemplated in that strategy. I mean, how is buying shares in MHL ever going to "provide early monetisation to aid in funding ... current assets". CTP (and all current MHL shareholders) were not going to receive any cash flow from their investment for many many years, if at all. The only way to make any money out of MHL in the short term is to hope for capital gains and sell off some or all of your shares. That pretty much describes day trading doesn't it?

So I think relying on that strategy to explain the company's recent actions is out. Any other reasonable suggestions, because I'm still waiting for an explanation???

    Cheers
