It is not just markets overlapping, a large portion of merchants overlap and most importantly people who use BNPL have multiple BNPL accounts.

If Affirm have Y million users and buys Z1P/SZL who have X million users the numbers won't beless than Y+X millions
Likely greater difference on merchants but most of the majors that Affirm count as merchants who are not exclusive ie Amazon, Affirm would have to consider a decent portion also offer Z1P/SZL. Becuase most merchants offer few different BNPL offerings.
