EMP doesn’t need this permit, they already have 1.848Tcf in P50, 9.5x the prospective resource compared to this VIC/P80 block (192Bcf of P50).
EMP also has 85% of their 25yr gas requirements in the P90 category… massively de-risking the future project.
As a little junior, there is little need to acquire this block, simply focus on the elephant they already have and get it over the line.
