What ? Aren't you even capable of 'Googling' something and/or is your knowledge of history so poor ?

    These are the facts.

The Gallipoli campaign[a] was a military campaign in the First World War that took place on the Gallipoli peninsula (Gelibolu in modern Turkey), from 17 February 1915 to 9 January 1916. The Entente powers, Britain, France and Russia, sought to weaken the Ottoman Empire, one of the Central Powers, by taking control of the Turkish straits.

Funny that isn't it...no mention of 'Australia' or 'New Zealand' invading 'Turkey' in that summary. Remember the British Empire and the Ottoman Empire ? The Turkish state didn't even come into existence until 1923.

And yes some Australian and New Zealand troops did participate in that failed campaign (a minor proportion) but that's very, very different from saying 'Australia (or New Zealand) invaded Turkey. a sovereign nation'.

Like I said you should get your facts right before you start shooting your mouth off.

Don't mention it...the free history lesson that is.
