"Immense" interest is going a bit far. I would say significant interest, more for the investment of their reputation than for the cost of the gift.
But LongTony's point was more about what the SP will already be at when a BP first offers a partnership or other transaction, not necessarily for EMD AML or MDS. So far the market has been consistently under-reacting to progress.
