definitely not one that is knowledgeable in this industry, but i found some definitions under the Act... class I landfill means an unlined landfill designed to accept inert wastes for burial. class II landfill means an unlined landfill designed to accept putrescible and inert wastes for burial. class III landfill means a lined landfill, which may include leachate collection, designed to accept putrescible and inert wastes for burial.
the latest update shows their designs and construction for the leachate pond, and lining... so it may show their intention to operate class 3 end game.. does that mean they plan to get license approval for class 2 asap.. operate in that space and somehow apply for class 3 in the interim? it would be great to know what the timeframes are like for approval processes in the DWER...
