The travel sector is ready to outperform. We saw the big move on Thursday, This week should confirm the big moves

Big Picture
1) Travel demand returning - There is definitely pent up demand, willing to use their household savings to travel
2) Cruise lines return to Australian shores today. First cruises from 31st May 2022. in 2019 1.6 million Aussies travelled on a cruise
3) Huge Pent up Demand - Check out the last 7-10 days chaos at Sydney Airport
4) The whole sector is up

SHORTS -
1) As of 8th April there were almost 33 million shorts
2) In one day (from 7th April to 8th April as per chart below) shorts reduced from 39million to 33 million - I have no idea how that works - coz the trading data doesnt show me 6 million shorts covered. I am sure someone could shed some light
3) Almost 10 million share traded hands between 8th April & 14th April
4) Assuming half were short covering - well then 5 million shorts covered - there is still another 28 million (33 million less 5 million ) to cover
