That just means the Azov Nazi's became official and could be paid and armed by Kiev and trained by Canadian officers. They weren't any "less Nazi" they just got seal of approval and became more influential. eg Like the coup in 2014. Right sector and other Nazi groups may have been only 10% numerically but they provided the the muscle, the shock troops and the backbone to the coup. Without them the coup could not have succeeded.

Not everyone in Azov is a hard core Nazi but the ones who do completely dominate it and command it. So what if there are some jews in Azov that only proves some jews can be Nazi's or at least supporters of Nazi's. Eternal shame on them.
although I completely disagree with the claim in the article that Azov is a "small subset" within Ukraine military.
As for WAPO an NYT, BBC etc having done some genuine investigative reporting previously on Azov and the rehabilitation/veneration of Bandera etc in Ukraine, previous to 2022, they are disgracefully now trying to backpedal and whitewash the prominent role in the war.
You took umbrage to my statement a few weeks back that there would be no consequences for the Ukrainians (probably right sector or Azov) who filmed themselves torturing and executing Russian prisoners in cold blood. Any word on that ? Have they been arrested and interrogated or investigated ? Any consequences yet or are they still roaming free ?
