Maybe Howard's way was to shake out the dodgy nervous nellies and keep the ones with true grit which can be of benefit to us. Not a bad play when I think about it.
Rudd should take notice and wise up. Currently, Rudd is too soft , the public knows it but is Rudd too stubborn to change. Normally Rudd likes to survey the public before he makes decisions but he has got himself into a corner on this one.
