One problem with that scenario. If MIN or any other listed Australian company has made an offer for ESS they would have to go into a Trading Halt too as there would be significant material information effecting the SP that was not in the public domain.
We'll know soon enough but I'm close to 100% certain that the suitor is either an unlisted entity or a foreign player.
