German FM is a green and holds decent power in cabinet.
I watched Scholz first big speech to German parliament after Ukraine was attacked and he announced increased defence spending and the stopping of Nordstrom 2.... Applause from 95% of the Parliament.
Also agree Germans have shot themselves in the foot re: energy and could mitigate all Russian gas and coal if they simply restarted their nuclear reactors, but maybe not with the greens in power. We'll see what happens by Dec 31st. It is definitely asking alot but not impossible.
