Yes, that's a very plausible iceberg speculation.
RAC may have awarded the lung cancer preclinical to CoH as a consolation prize.
I guess the IP will be shared. CoH lawyers wouldn't be happy with CoH scientists performing a preclinical and CoH not owning any share of the resulting IP. It would be bad for their resumes and legal careers.
