Russia, with its allies, had the golden opportunity maintain the global balance of power peacefully & retain its military superpower status. Balance of power would have been great for the whole world including Australia with only wars waging in economies. Russia, with vast natural resources & a semi-communist (or socialist) regime & with the backing of China was in a position to dictate term to US & the whole capitalist structure. PUTIN BLEW ALL THAT.

Now the west knows the real military power of Russia which weak & the Moscow power base is vulnerable. Worst is yet to come when the world moves on without Russian contribution to GDP’s & economies. Putin has let Russians down, BADLY.
