Below is a slide from ANZ economist Daniel Hynes. Making Nickel requires almost as much energy per kg as aluminium. While replacing that energy with hydro power doesn't reduce the energy needed, what it does do is eliminate the CO2 emissions associated with the energy usage. Green Nickel will attract a premium in the market as Corporates move to reduce their supply chain CO2 emissions. The batteries passport will ensure that happens.
