Not quite. He said he couldn't discuss any previous negotiations in regard to any deal. IIRC The confidentiality clause dated back to December so there may well have been many discussions on possible deal structures and it is only once a deal is finalised it is released to the market. I would expect Pfizer would have started off much lower however we will never know..........
His comments were in relation to issuing the ann on Monday which basically came down to an agreement being finalised over the weekend. Also note the comments that RAP's financial and legal advisors were involved (as they should be) so this has been ongoing for some time.
